The electrical control system of the T2D80 twin – boom floor – mounted derrick uses two sets of Mitsubishi PLCs for 485 communication, and the slewing mechanism uses Mitsubishi frequency converters. The complete set of electrical control equipment offers high cost – effectiveness and stable product performance. It has been applied in the first pilot project in Hubei section – the Baihetan – Jiangsu ±800 kV UHV DC transmission project (Section 7 in Hubei). The maximum load under the hook is 5 tons, the rated lifting moment is 80 ton – meters, the working range is from 1.5 meters to 16 meters, and the maximum lifting height is 150 meters. It is suitable for the skylight construction of small – scale iron towers.
It is reported that the Baihetan – Jiangsu ±800 kV UHV DC transmission project is a core hub project of the national “West – to – East Power Transmission” initiative. The project’s transmission line is 2,087 kilometers long, with a total investment of approximately 30 billion yuan. It was planned to be completed and put into operation in 2022.
