Electrical control system for the 40.5t – 40m gantry crane in Guangdong

This system adopts a full variable – frequency control method.
  • For the hoisting mechanism, the closed – loop vector control mode is selected for speed regulation, and the Yaskawa CIMR – G7A4160 frequency converter is used.
  • For the trolley mechanism, the open – loop V/F control mode is chosen for speed adjustment, and the Yaskawa CIMR – G7A4055 frequency converter is adopted.
  • For the gantry mechanism, the open – loop V/F control mode is used for speed regulation, and the Yaskawa CIMR – G7A4110 frequency converter is selected.
The frequency converters are regulated by the analog control method using a potentiometer handle. The overall control system of the machine uses the C200H series PLC from OMRON Corporation in Japan. The fault monitoring system consists of the PLC and a GP – 2500S touch screen, forming a user – friendly human – machine interface.
